It’s been a while since the last episode, but The Kam Show is back! In this episode, Kamran interviews Dr. Benjamin Villalonga about Quantum Computing and his educational path. Dr. Villalonga explains the major concepts of Quantum Computing and how high school and undergraduate students can get involved in this field. This episode also touches on the relationship between computer science and physics, probably one of the most interesting episodes on the show yet!

This week on The Kam Show, Kamran and Kaleb talk about the devices that have been released this summer. They talk about the specs, how they have improved, and how consumer technology will become better in the near future. With July being Samsung’s major announcements month, most of the phones they explored were from Samsung's Galaxy line, but there are some other really powerful phones in the mix!

The Mars 2020 Perseverance Rover is launching on July 30 for a scheduled mission of one Mars year (687 Earth days). In this episode of The Kam Show, Kamran interviews Dr. Ken Farley, Lead Scientist on Perseverance, and asks him about the experiments on the rover and what they will contribute to Planetary Science. They discuss how Perseverance will find signs of ancient life, some challenges that arose during development, and what Perseverance will contribute to planetary science.

In Episode 8 of The Kam Show, Kamran and Kaleb discuss how computers understand computer coding languages and transcribe them to machine language. Also, Kaleb explains the function and differences of some popular coding languages. Next, they compare the specifications of the Xbox Series X to the Playstation 5 and see which one might prevail.

In the sixth episode of The Kam Show, Kamran and Dhruv, explore the new mission to the Moon, the Artemis Program. They take a look at the technology being implemented in the various parts of the mission from SLS to the Gateway, the Lunar Lander, and the new xEMU suits. In the fourth episode of The Kam Show, Kamran interviews Roberto Carlino, an Aerospace engineer at NASA Ames Research Center. Roberto is a Hardware/Software engineer on the Astrobee free-flying project and for Cubesat Rapid Response Development Demonstration (R2D2). Nice name! Roberto has also worked on the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS). This episode breaks down what Astrobee is and how it helps Astronauts in the ISS, as well as the potential future for the project.
